clamshell setup

for face or waist up photos, use your led panels, set lower one angled pointing up around knee, waist or chest height depending on how much of you will be in the photo. upper one angled down above it, you want the brightest part of the light to be your face. Camera goes in between them. This is classic clamshell. Use the window with full sun to be a white background, put a white curtain or a reflector in front of it so you don’t get sky or trees behind you. Settings, upper light should be set at a point where the background looks white, start at max and just keep taking a test photo and dialing it back until the background goes completely white. Once you have that light, the lower one should be adjusted to be a little dimmer than the upper. The goal is to soften the shadows not completely eliminate them.
